Participants may continue in the program until they graduate, which may happen in under the average of 3 days for those with prior experience. For those who need more time, our guarantee means we’ll offer you complimentary Beginner lesson package visits until you get there, regardless of how long you need! The program is non-transferable and expires at the end of the current winter season.

Reservations

Reservations are highly recommended to guarantee rental equipment availability and a spot at the lesson time requested. For weekend and holiday days we advise reserving as much as a week in advance as we frequently reach capacity.

Purchasing the Learn-in-3 Guarantee will reserve your first day only. To reserve your second or third day submit an online reservation inquiry. Online inquiries must be made at least 2 days in advance. To reserve within 48 hours or if the lesson time you want is not available, call 206-812-7387 to inquire over the phone, up to 2pm the day prior.

Participants may take as many 90 minute lessons in one day as they wish, but only the first can be reserved ahead of time.

Lesson Times, Arrival and Check-in

We offer three lesson start times each day. 10am (Morning), 12pm (Midday), 2pm (Afternoon) and lessons are 90 minutes in length. On Peak Days we offer additional start times, with a morning lesson at 9am, and our last afternoon lesson at 4pm.

Traffic, road conditions and parking can often unexpectedly extend your travel time. On Peak Days, we recommend arriving at least 90 minutes before your lesson, and for those with morning lessons, we strongly advise aiming for the 9am start time for the best overall experience.

Check-out our First Time Guide for directions to the resort and information on parking, what to wear, the best times to visit and more.

First-Timer FAQs

First-Timer FAQs

About the Learn-in-3 Guarantee

Q: What is the most affordable way to learn?
Answer: Group lessons. The Learn-in-3 Guarantee offers you unlimited group lesson packages including lesson, equipment rental and a lift ticket at a huge discount. Plus our exclusive ‘Guarantee’.

Q: What if I’m not ready to commit to 3-days?
Answer: You can purchase a single day package and upgrade to the Learn-in-3 Guarantee and pay the difference after your lesson.

Q: What does the ‘Guarantee’ mean?
Answer: We want you to feel confident and independent on the snow. This means obtaining the skills needed to tackle our easiest intermediate terrain. We guarantee to teach you those skills in 3 days, and if we can’t you can come back, on us, and receive additional lesson packages until you get there.

Q: So I can come back and take a free lesson if I’m not ready?
Answer: Yes. If you and your instructor feel you need more guided practice we will offer you another free package; lesson, access ticket for our learning area and equipment rental plus helmet.

Q: What happens when I reach an intermediate level?
Answer: We consider you a graduate of the program and celebrate by giving you an awesome graduation packet complete with 2 complimentary lift tickets, a follow up lesson and exclusive retail and F+B discounts. We also offer graduates with no previous Season Pass history an incredible deal on a Season Pass for the 2017-18 season when they go on sale March 15th 2017!

Q: Who can sign up for this program?
Answer: This program is exclusively for ages 13 and over and those whose skills mean they are classified as a First Timer or Beginner. Those entering the program above that level will be transferred into other lesson programs.

Q: I'm a skier, can I sign up to learn snowboarding or vice-versa?
Answer: Yes! Although you cannot switch between the disciplines within the same program. If you wish to pursue both disciplines you will have to purchase two separate programs.

Q: Is this the only way to learn?
Answer: Not at all, if you don’t mind the cost Private Lessons offer the biggest learning opportunity in the shortest time frame because of the personalized aspect of the lesson and the ability to request the same instructor each time.

Q: What type of lift ticket does each day come with?
Answer: Each day you take as part of the Learn-in-3 Guarantee lesson program comes with a Learning Area lift ticket, which gives you access to the conveyor lifts in the learning area and Daisy, our beginner chairlift, only. Only upon graduating with an instructor will you be able to access any of the intermediate lifts on the mountain using one of the complimentary lift tickets that come with your graduation packet.

Q: If I don't use all my days, or don't finish the program this season, can I transfer unused days to someone else or keep going next winter?
Answer: The Learn-in-3 Gurantee is non-transferrable and non-refundable. Unused days and any discounts, tickets or vouchers associated with graduating expire at the end of the current winter season.

Q: What about the exclusive 2017-18 Season Pass discount?
Answer: This is the only graduation perk that does carry over. The discount voucher may be redeemed anytime from March 15th of the current season, through the 2017-18 winter season. It is not transferrable and is only valid for new passholders with no prior pass product history at Stevens Pass.
